Warriors came from mycenae, 1600-1200 bc, kingdom was dispersed. Dark ages (1200 bc to 900 bc), things slowed down, less food production, lost writing, became more organized around 900 bc. Achilles rage bible of the culture causes people to lose their lives hero and anti-hero starts in the middle, after 10 years of war in medias res quid pro quo relationship between apollo and his priest.
