Internaional relaions: as a subset of poliical science, is the study of interacions among the various actors that paricipate in internaional poliics, including states, internaional organizaions, non-governmental organizaions subnaional eniies such as bureaucracies and local governments, and individuals. All pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others : physical power, economic power, power of ideas. *in the western civilizaion this is also considered the hierarchy of power. For example the games of thrones episode (s2 e2) One claims that knowledge is power, but the queen shows that power is power since with a single command she can get his throat cut. Three dimensions of internaional relaions: physical violence, economics. This is also the hierarchy for western socieies / forms of power. The 90"s seemed like an ideal ime of growth and development as the stock market was growing and economy was doing well. Western socieies thought they had moved away from (1) physical violence.
