September 1941: invasion of eastern countries w/ einstensgruppe so hitler decided the time had come to deport german jews. The rest migrate to the land of israel. Jews have lived in it and traded in the mediterranean world for centuries. They brought olive oil and wine from greece to israel. Inhabited famous greek islands - the island of rhodes. Thesselomika - port city were jews came in the middle ages and became very integrated into the society. They dealt w/ the trade at the port. Germans take over greece and divide it into three piece.
