Free trade zone: beneicial for companies to put factories in free trade zones so they pay less tax and there are less regulaions. Free trade zones might be good for factories but not so good for the workers. This was important because if the factory closes, people will lose their jobs and people will be let without work and money. If factory workers wanted a job, they oten imes had to move away. They closed because bigger companies were known for bad working condiions. Combinaion: losing contracts with big companies and they did unionize and workers did have beter salaries, but that led to higher costs. They weren"t able to sustain the market for those higher costs. They most likely lost the contract with nike and adidas due to higher costs. Pressure sandwich: students put pressure on school, workers on the botom. If pressure comes from both ends, you would hopefully be able to make a diference.
