Binary oppositions: obedience vs. rebellion, extroversion vs. introversion, obedience. Filial piety: respect and absolute obeisance for one"s elders, kings & judges. Divine right: a political and religious doctrine of royal and political legitimacy, monarch is subject to no earthly authority, right to rule directly from the will go god, western culture. Individual guilt: guilt for an act committed by yourself. Ancestral guilt (original sin: some crimes are so terrible that they can leave entire generations of people with guilt continually being punished by the gods. Collective guilt: entire group is blamed for a crime of just a part of that group, saviors & sages. Savior: deity is responsible for helping others (usually humankind) attain a state of salvation.
