Those are signs that newspapers are going out of business. Because of technology the public wants the news now, this is called gratification . Roots of reporting gathering and reporting of facts. Social category- is a collection of people who do not interact but who share similar characteristics. Which it indicates women, men, and the elderly. For example, a 16 year-old wouldn"t care to learn about medicaid. Economical category- consists of poor, middle, and upper classes. Narcotizing dysfunction- how do we absorb news . too much, too often, -we don"t care! When news cover the same story and is being repeatedly circulated throughout the media it becomes boring. For ex, when news outlets keep reporting the same topic.
