Much of the same concept lay behind aircraft stealth technology - avoid radar-reflective structural features and absorb the energy. Radar can measure distance, speed, direction and size. Defeating radar (first three items are 90% of radar) External shaping-none of the energy is sent back to the radar but scattered in different directions. Spray on airplane which absorbs high-frequency radar. Coat cockpit with gold bc radar can"t see through.
