Concept of equality gave more people opportunities to vote. Mostly middle states / southern had minimal change. Allowed greater number of people to hold office. Balance of power between branches of state government. Eliminated strength of a monarch // governors had less power. Tried to balance need for national coordination during war and limited centralized power.
