Design should not be the design of the elite not for power or prestige, not frivolous but essential. Attention to abstract art could lead to new forms. New functional activities in garden that need response. Did projects ranging from massive structures to residential gardens. Most well known garden was the miller garden. Uses a grid system to structure the design. A lot of di erent styles and structures around the landscapes in that grid pattern. Built a lot of sunken living spaces so you could see straight through the house when you walk in. Designed the grounds for united states air force academy. Made it so that it was ideal for a lot of training and work with the equipment. However also made it so that you could show o the troops and equipment easily while having everything look good with the background and environment. Made a lot of seating opportunities around the grounds.
