Document Summary

Attribute, categorical or qualitative data data that consists of non-numerical information-the data values fall into two or more categories. Numerical or quantitative data data that consists of numerical information-the data values are numbers. Numerical data can be further subdivided based on the possible values. Discrete data if the possible data values of numerical data are isolated points, i. e, there are gaps between the possible values, the data is discrete. Continuous data if the possible values of numerical data consist of all numbers within an interval, i. e, there are no gaps between the possible values, the data is continuous. Dscriptive stats present all the data and summarize the data. Frequency distribution numerical data set (populations or sample) consists of groups of possible values for the variable involved, called classes and the number of measurements or observations on each class called frequencies. Frequency is just how many units in each section.
