Anxiety disorders- characterized by more anxiety than what is typically expected. State anxiety- feel fine most of the time, they have a triggering event, thought, circumstance, that makes them anxious. Phobias- the fear experience is not proportionate the the actual fear. Trait anxiety- not one specific thing, it is more of part of the individual. Generalized anxiety disorder- generalized high level of anxiety. They are nervous and worried all of the time.
