Document Summary

Chapter 12 questions 1 & 2 voluntarily and intentionally, especially by a person of years of discretion and of sound mind. In the text there were four definitions of suicide. Suicide is the act or an instance of taking one"s own life defined as a self-killing deriving from one"s inability or refusal to accept the terms of the human condition. Another definition is that all behavior that seeks and finds the solution to an existential problem by making an attempt on the life of the subject. Another way to define suicide is saying that the human act of self- inflicted, self-intentioned cessation has taken place. A cry for help is when they are looking to force a change. These people no longer wish to live and the goal is not to die, but to solve this overwhelming problem they are facing.
