From a philosophical perspective concerns the development of an attitude toward evidence. In study, fatherhood leads to drop in testosterone. Testosterone takes a dive after a man becomes a parent. Men"s bodies evolved hormonal systems that helped them commit to their families once children were born. 2x greater decline in testosterone for men with children vs men w/out. Higher testerone predicted greater likelihood of becoming a father. Biological trade off high testerone secures a mate + reduced testosterone better for sustaining family life. Low testerone = sensitive to cues from child, less sensitive to cues from women. Testosterone climbed back up after men divorced.
