Reformist wants to leave the system as it is but with changes, those changes being to just add women to the system. Revolutionary wants to get rid of everything and rebuild from the ground up. Tiny subset of men in charge of everyone (men and women, yes). They use other men for their own purposes. Robert johnson patriarchy world is male dominated (ceos, pope, university boards) men are in charge. Female = weak, beautiful, dependent) and language (handyman, cowboy, businessman, mankind). Male centered things that are important to men are emphasized. Oppression marilyn frye: one group is oppressing another group. Double blind having children or not, getting married or not, stay at home mom or not, puts women at a disadvantage no matter what you do b/c you are a female. Bird cage metaphor just look at one bar of the cage you are looking at it microscopically instead of the (detailed) big picture.
