Their tail is reduced with only nerves, no ribs coming from it. Have a solid skull to burrow into the ground (snakes have a kinetic skull with lots of holes)** Green rods are blue-sensitive rods, which absorb at shorter wavelengths: pedicellate teeth - each tooth sits on a base (pedicel), from which the crown is separated by a fibrous connection.
