Conflict between two parties with an added two parties. Anywhere we can communicate, we can deliberate : center for public deliberation. Mission: to promote the development of vibrant deliberative democracy in northern colorado. What do we fight about: romantic partners. Friends/family: metaconlfict- fighting about how we fight/communicate, same-sex friendships. Sharing clothes: directness refers to the extent to which conflict behavior addresses the core issue under contention, valence- positive or negative affective ton. Conflict strategies: integrative (office space, war room, nightcrawler) Corporative, desire to solve the problem, find a solution that works for both people. Making a supportive comments and listening in a supportive manner. Mutually defining the problem- agree upon what the problem is. Negotiating fair solutions: distributive (the breakup, office space, nightcrawler) Driven with the mindset, that i can only gain or win this at your expense. Goal is to keep the tension buried. Withholding a complain when confrontation is deemed to be too costly.
