Folk - music from a group of people, often never written down, passed on from memory. Pop (popular) - intended for commercial success, makes the money. Classical - not as popular, doesn"t follow current trends. Alternative - not a good label, anything can be considered alternative. Artist - someone who performs in any medium with creativity and sensitivity and with the ability to communicate with an audience. Space used (radio, concert hall, recording studio) Sound you want to hear as music (rain, chirping birds, waterfalls) Acoustics - the science of sound and physical basics of music.
