We expect 7-8 degrees of warming by 2100, 4 degrees will make most of the currently inhabited land mass uninhabitable. We must begin to integrate green energy into the land forms. New york is likely to not be able to support a large population, could potentially harness some of the superstorm energy. The extremes of the earth--northern canada and russia likely to become larger powers, less affected by warming (toronto and moscow) Possible use of the dutch plans--soft edges, sponge park to absorb some of the flood problems, and storm surge protection. Hybrid spaces--energy generating infrastructure in the dead space. Vancouver will be a possible mega city, as will johannesburg and a city in. Mega city should be 10 mil + people. Phoenix is one of the least sustainable cities in the world.
