The public education function is a function that. Congress performs whenever it holds public hearings, exercises oversight of the bureaucracy, or engages in committee and floor debate. The conflict resolution function allows congress to pass laws to accommodate the constitution. In my opinion, i feel that the oversight function, lawmaking function, and agenda setting functions are the most important functions of congress.
