The body shape of the average person is chunkier. Sports field is really big and is continuing to grow, we need people to support it. It has brought out the laziness in people: the nature of work and leisure is sedentary. It has given us treadmills and more advanced exercise equipment. We use it because it"s easy to measure: not very good because nothing scientific at all about it. 99% of nfl players are morbidly obese, doesn"t mean they"re unhealthy at all: body builders, and athletes, etc . Bmis lead to wrong assumptions: used to too frequently to make [false] diagnostics, doesn"t account for body fat percentage. Body fat percentage is a much more reliable tool in indicating someone"s health. Should only be used as a screening tool, a first slight flag of warning. Individuals with high body weight can be healthy if they maintain fitness levels: cardiovascular deaths are declining despite an annual increase in bmis.
