Document Summary
If the child is not in danger, the parents have the choice to either provide medical care or not due to their religion. You are allowed for corporal punishment in ca. Mandatory reporter- must report a sign of abuse. Child protected services receives calls of suspected abusers and do surprise home visits. The finding is unable to find or determine evidence of evidence. Most substantiated abuse is kids about 1-3 years old and over 12. Needs to choose is the kids needs to stay or not. Kick boyfriend out of the house, stop doing drugs. Parents must show progress within that time to get their kids back. If they are not doing it, then the court will decide to give them up to adoption. If they are doing good progress, then the judge can extend it to 16-18 months. At 18 months, a judge has to make a choice.
