Anyone can be the victim in an abusive relationship, children, women, men, even pets. However, the majority of domestic violence involves male as perpetrators and female as victims with relationships. It includes physical violence, sexual violence, threats, and emotional or psychological abuse (ncadv, 2015). domestic violence injury can be short term and long-term, in physical, psychological and social relationship to the victims. People from different cultures, races, sexual orientations, education levels, social status, and age groups might potential experience or witness domestic violence. This paper discusses some information of background, types, causes, effects related to domestic violence. By researching the prevalence of domestic violence, the result reveals that domestic violence is related to anyone. The national coalition against domestic violence survey indicates that more than ten million people be abuse by intimate partners annually in united.
