Longwave is energy going away from the earth. Shortwave comes into the earth, the earth absorbs the shortwaves, longwave (infra-red) waves are attempting to get out but the greenhouse effect happens. Greenhouse effect absorbs the infra-red when releases it but also absorbs it again. Without the greenhouse effect, the earth"s surface temperature of earth would be colder and life might not exist. No greenhouse effect = no greenhouse gases. We have seasons because of the 23. 5 degree tilt. Sun rises from the east and sets in the west. Angle of sun depends on time of day and amount of wavelength. Revolution 365 days (365. 25 leap year)
