Atmosphere is made up of many different gases. Nitrogen and oxygen are two major gases in the atmosphere, but water vapor has greatest influence on water vapor has the greatest influence on weather. Water has the ability to change from one state to another (solid, liquid, gas) while nitrogen and oxygen do not. Water can exist in all 3 states: solid, liquid, gas/water vapor. Where is our water located: 97% in oceans, 3% in ice sheets, 0. 001% in atmosphere. Hydrological cycle: hydrological cycle is gigantic system powered by energy from the sun in which the atmosphere provides the vital link between the oceans and the continents via: Amount of water on earth remains constant.
