Document Summary

Water is essential to the survival of the kenyan tribes. However, severe droughts are making it very hard for these tribes to thrive. Droughts last a significantly long time, making it impossible for tribes to grow crops. When it finally rains, it rains in a torrential downpour which often destroys homes and crops. The other major issue in kenya is border disputes. Oftentimes, kenyan tribes will be living on land that is straddling borderlines, which leads to violence amongst the tribes. Many groups are marginalized in kenya and throughout africa due to lack of democratic nations. America gives many supplies to kenya, but often with strings attached. Currently, west africa is the best place for farming. Northern africa is where all the fighting is occurring. This was because america wanted kenya to be a democracy so they armed the tribes to win the war. After america won the cold war, they never reclaimed the weapons so the tribes kept them.
