Pakistan was formed in 1947 out of partition. During the split 15 million people migrated from both india and pakistan. Partition left both india and pakistan devastated socially and economically. 1971 east pakistan rebelled and split from west pakistan. With the aid of india, east pakistan gained independence and became bangladesh.
