Adam czemiakow was the leader of the judenraut in the warsaw ghetto (jewish council). Emanuel ringelblum realized the jews were being terribly mistreated in poland and began collecting first-hand accounts of the incidents for an archive. The ghetto was eventually liquidated and the jews were sent to treblinka to make room for german jews. The warsaw ghetto uprising happens in the summer of 1942. This is the first uprising in any ghetto. The ghetto is burned to the ground and all members were killed. In 1944, the city of warsaw rebelled against germany.
