Lessig found that results on safety of bpa and cell phones from industry funded differed from that of independently funded. The results from industry funded show there is no harm with bpa and cell phones whereas independent industries show that there is. Lessig believes that this is because industry funded are influenced by financial agencies that fund them and as a result they do not produce true result. Government regulations impose high tariffs on sugar and grants subsidies to corn production as a result america has high sugar prices and low corn prices compared to other countries.
