Overview: when we first began constructing rhetorical precis" i was curious how this method was any different from summarizing. But after writing a couple precis" i soon learned that it was helping us "fluffy writers" train ourselves to be clear, concise, and complete. The strategy for approaching this kind of analysis involves me to actively interact with the text and be able to describe the main idea, purpose, audience in a coherent fashion. Overview: in order for us to start our research on an issue we had to find a topic that really sparked our interest. Once we figured out what issue we wanted to pursue we made a proposal as to why it"s important and relevant at this time. For me, i ended up choosing cell phone addiction because of the vast amount of attention it has been getting lately through news articles like ones i found in the new york times.
