Self serving bias is greater in individualistic society. Self improvement is key in these societies. Collectivist: others expectations. anger and frustration (ego focused emotion) may be inhibited because they are in conflict with cooperative and harmonious social interactions. Self knowledge: knowing about your mind, beliefs, mental states, emotions and desires between 4-7 status. Children in england and america still make mistakes about their mental states. Feeling ill, having fun, dreaming, thinking, feeling, hungry feeling angry. Self knowledge was not associated with tom performance and rather ic. Imaginary companion helped predict strength of tom. Achievement motivation is stronger in individualistic societies.
