Lured by benefits: money, prestige, acceptance, etc. But we want to view ourselves as honest, honorable people (protect our sense of integrity) Already cheating in a different area (called what the hell effect) Being drained from the demands of a mentally difficult task. Believing that others will benefit from one"s own cheating. Ethics lectures and training alone not always effective. Reminders of morality right at the point where people are making a decision appear to have an outsize effect on behaviour. Exemplary: can my choice serve as an example (case study) for other similar situations. Collusion: secret agreement between two or more parties to the detriment of someone or another party. Corruption: acting, refraining from action, or facilitating something is exchange for a promise or various benefits.
