Screen Output Screen is represented by: System.out o println() prints what is inside the parentheses, with a line break at the end o print() prints whats inside parentheses, with no line break n acts as enter, line break o System.out.println(HellonWorld); Variables Memory locations that a program can use to store data Must be declared variable declaration o Choose a name and data type Cannot redeclare a variable, or change its data type later Assignment Statements Uses assignment operator to store a value into a variable Ex. Variable = things to store as variable; You can store: o Literals (simple, unchanging values), x = 1; o Calculated answers, x = 1 + 3; o Value from another variable, y = x; o Calculations involving variables, x = x + 1
