Pleadings stage: complaint- states the basis of the claim and jurisdiction. Generally in the context of contracts, it requires one to do what they have contracted to do: injunction- is an order of the court that requires a party not to do something. The court generally considers for factors before issuing a preliminary injunction: - the likelihood of one parties prevailing on the issues. - the likelihood of irreparable injury if an injunction is not granted. Permanent injunction- is the final injunctive order that remains indefinitely: appellate stage, arguments before appeals court- Written brief- may be submitted without argument a: oral argument- heard in front of an appellate court panel. Different from a trial in that the arguments are based on the actions and/or rulings of the lesser court. It becomes res judicata: writ of execution- entered where there is a judgment that isn"t paid, garnishment- where the debtor"s property may be seized.
