I am pretty familiar with social media
I have used it for my personal life as well as professionally (for a class)
Besides that one class, most teachers frown on it
I have learned how to use social media to expand my PLN from twitter, _____
Finding professionals with similar personal beliefs about teaching and learning can help
you shape and solidify your views about it
Having so many different people’s views gives you multiple different perspectives and
ideas which automatically promotes professional growth
There can be crossover from social media but its easier the less crossover there is
Helps educators who don’t have time to exchange ideas/brainstorm with others in
person
Gives you the opportunity to network with professionals from different industries - very
productive - educators must have a broad vision with knowledge from all spheres
Provides a source of real world situations teachers can use with students to make their
material more relatable/interesting
