Pitch: how high or how low the sound is (does not refer to volume) Consonance- combinations of pitches that sound good together. Dissonance- combinations of pitches that don"t sound good together. Polyphony- 2 or more independent melodies at the same time (polyphonic) Homophony- a predominant melody with an accompaniment (homophonic)
