Immersion is to fool the senses, but the person is aware of it. Presence is when the senses are so fooled that people are not aware they are fooled. e. g. the life we are in is presence, it might be simulated so much that we forgot that we are in presence. Face, height, body shape is not as important as movement. Uncanny valley: the robot looks really similar to human, but move differently. We have a defense mechanism, if we see a person, and they are not acting unnormal, we tend to hold back and think if they are sick or dangerous. Objects that are closer to us are bigger, and vice versa. Closer objects move faster, farther objects move slower. e. g. cars seem to move fast, while plane seems to move slow.
