Pangenesis - idea that there are tiny packets of information that are referred to as gemmules. Information travels from different parts of the body to reproductive organs. Cut out a limb and see if it reproduces - francis galton did this. Published this work while mendel is "forgotten" - called "experiments in pangenesis" Breed rabbits of a pure variety into whose circulation blood taken from other varieties had been previously largely transfused. Will then categorize these traits as discrete traits or a continuous traits. Take a yellow bunny and a gray bunny - take the blood out of the yellow bunny and transfused into the gray bunny; then, does this again with another gray bunny that"s been transfused with yellow bunny blood. If pangenesis is true - would expect offspring of the gray x gray bunny that"s transfused with yellow blood to have yellow offspring as the result. But, in reality, galton only saw gray bunnies.
