Bioethics: concerning the morality (right and wrong) of acts and character (good and bad) with respect to issues in medicine and (usually human) biology. Morality: basic beliefs and questions about the right and wrong actions and good and bad characters. Consists of the moral judgements, rules, standards, actions and the principles (what we think and apply based on our prior knowledge). The theories and what we think and apply to a specific situation. Ethics: the study of morality using philosophical tools (q"s) and methods. Moral theories, critical reasoning, logical arguments, careful reflection, etc. Descriptive ethics: describes the facts about people"s behaviors, explains how they live. Analyzes groups of people and describes their cultural, inner, ethics. Normative ethics: search/ need to/ for justification in moral standards to guide right and good behavior and judgements. (how should i/ we live?) A guide to finding the right and good thing to do.
