immersion?
Game story devices help to improve the player experience and tell a story.
Some game story devices are:
o Interactivity
o Non-linearity
o Player control
o Collaboration
o Immersion
What are the different forms of character development?
Game characters can be player characters and avatars. They can also be non-player
characters
Game character types can be any of the following:
o Animal
o Fantasy
o Historical
o Licensed
o Mythic
Character development elements:
o Character love triangle
o Character arc
A character with increasing self-actualization would go through these
processes:
Intrapersonal
Interpersonal
Team
Community
Humanity
Point-of-view
The point-of-view from which the game is played is an important aspect to consider.
There are 2 different points-of-view:
o First-person
o Third-person
Visual character development
The way a character looks is also an important part of game design.
