BSC 4930 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Pollination, Seed Dispersal, Water Cycle
Document Summary
2 groups need to volunteer to go next week. Professor has the power to delete people from a group (email him if you need help) Think of it like a story or a big picture- there is no right answer- you just have to show that you understand and have read and absorbed the information. I"m also going to make the first test easy we can all get up to speed . What is biodiversity good for? (from the human perspective) Water cycle (part of why nasa is so fixated on finding water on other planets/the moon and things like that) Direct supply of food: harvesting products directly from the wild, making us directly dependent on the certain ecosystem, agriculture- soil formation and usage for growing food items. Without soil processes, we wouldn"t be able to grow food. Atmospheric maintainence: oxygen concentration is dependent on photosynthesis.
