In this type of instruction the students are evaluated on how they perform against the objective. In norm referencing the students are compared against each other. Competencies: defined roles, clearly defined expectations of the student, competencies given to the student prior to instruction, based upon specified competencies, explicitly stated expected levels of mastery under specified. Criteria conditions: competencies given to the student prior to instruction. Assessment: performance orientation, observable and measurable behavior, specific indicators that attest to the student"s ability to evaluate the outcomes of their performance.
