This case contains the system"s electronic components and selected secondary storage devices. Like apple"s imac: laptops are portable, smaller units. Tablets are smaller, lighter, and generally less powerful than laptop computers. While they look different and each has its own unique features, they share similar components, including the system boards, microprocessors and memory: system board/mainboard/motherboard- this controls communications for the entire computer system. These carriers plug either directly into sockets on the system board or onto cards that are then plugged into slots on the system board: slots- provide a connection point of specialized cards or circuit boards. Microprocessor is the brains of the computer system.
