Education can help build characteristics in one person. Those people do not reach this high expectation of receiving an education is shrunken down completely in society. These mean people call them all sorts of name like low life and just a dustbowl passing right through, or they say the student never really had ambition after all. Education is important for every person on this earth since whether we like to say it, education has a positive effect on us. Whether it is learning how to add or subtract these things will always be used in our daily lives. In today"s rapidly growing and more technological society people seem to be more useful, civilized, and respectful if they go to the college level education.

I believe nonconformity is the very thing that enables an individual to be human and express those feeling, lifestyles and liberties. I also realized while reading Emerson's essay that one should not yield oneself to other people who wish to control them and take from us our power. This gives that individual power which can stunt one's growth in spirit, my mind and body. We should look and strive to be different never desiring to be like others for we are who we are. We are human in our own right.
