Living sustainably means living off the earth"s renewable resources provided by the natural capital. (to live sustainably) we must avoid depleting the natural capital that supplies renewable resources. Quantity and quality of inputs and outputs influences the wellbeing of the ecological and human system. The planet doesn"t need humans, humans need the planet. The amount of biologically productive land and water needed to supply people with resources needed and to absorb and recycle the wastes and pollution produced by such resource use. Currently our ecological footprints are growing, and we are increasingly depleting and degrading more of the earth"s natural capital.
