Regulates anterior pituitary output via releasing and inhibitory hormones (hormonal stimuli) Synthesizes 2 hormones exported to posterior pituitary for storage/release. 2 hormones exported by the hypothalamus to the posterior pituitary for storage/release. Hormone released during childbirth and when a newborn comes into contact with the mother (breastfeeding), also during climax (euphoria) Released in response to high solute concentration in the blood, conserves water/reabsorbs it via convoluted kidney tubules. Characteristics of an individual showing signs of acromegaly.
