Document Summary

Someone that represents an organization/individual: such as: an athlete, celebrity, musician, etc. The person"s job is to push the client"s name to get attention. Put the client in the news and keep their name public. Giving true information about an organization/individual: ex: news releases, press releases, interviews, who, what, when, where, why, and how are included. Used to want the people to do something about it: meaning, technically publicity is used to send out information, but in the long run publicity is used to get people to do something about the news. Doesn"t talk about a product per say, but talks about a class of products. Advertisements talk about milk in general not a certain milk brand. Public affairs: (the government uses this because in the past, pr has a sleaze-bag reputation and they don"t want that stigma) Basically the same thing as pr, but more like public information . Still used to want people to do something about it.
