Child started to scream/cry and begins to throw all the toys out. Uses one toy (long stick) to get back her favorite toy outside the crib. First use of tools in order to achieve something (usually 12/13 months old) = important part of our human species (evolution) Ex. child at 12 months sat on floor next to a blanket that had toys on it. Child began to start moving to crawl over to get the toy.
