Juxtaglomerular apparatus senses blood osmolality and secretes renin when its low. Juxtaglomerular apparatus: consist of cells from the wall of the afferent arteriole. Occurs as filtrate flows through the lumens of proximal tubule, loop if henle, distal tubule, and collecting ducts. Substances transported to interstitial fluid and reabsorbed into peritubular capillaries. Other ions to follow (cl, ca2+, mg+, k+)
