going on set as Manheim’s thoughts
Premise- sammy sucked up to me
Details- here is how he did it
Conclusion- here is my response to his flattering, looking back at it he realized that it
worked to Sammy’s benefit
That was the beginning- almost biblical, serious moral story going to happen
● Forensic- takes apart situation, cause & process, results, evidence/ illustration,
outcome & reflection
2. Atmospheric/ modern- Hardwick
a. Primarily descriptive, overall setting/ setting & context of the scene
b. Not focused on thesis, all background/ context
c. What family life should be in implied (metaphorical comparisons)
d. abstractions - haze of interpretations
i. Everything relates in an indirect way
● Profile and how you chose to make it- can alternate between classical and atmospheric
styles
○ Descriptive, sensory way of style, etc
○ Classical- what is happening at the moment, arguing, proposition
○ Atmospheric- significance of what has happened, emotional affect, context
