Segments of globalization: politics, economics, social, cultural, technology. Transformation: outside in, globalization is talked about as something that"s happening above the individual and unit and above the nation state unit, something that"s happening from the top down that affects power, top down. Takes place over and above the units, interaction between systematic variables across different dimensions and sectors of the system. : the world system itself is globalizing and the systematic distinctions are less clear. Transcendence: breaking any inside outside variable, it"s a base change in human affairs, the inside or outside distinctions are no longer valid, Globalization a reimagining of such dimensions which breaks them down dissolving the inside/outside divide: despatializes and detemporalizes human practice. Globalization may contain elements of all three. Positive: globalization is obvious in regional integration.
